Moma was so proud to have made it to 75 years old. She was a beautiful and loving mom, gammy, and great great grandma. Her life revolved around her children. She is with the lord and her oldest son that she missed so very much. I am so proud to have had her for a mom. She will always be in my heart.

With deepest sympathy to the family of a loving mother. Shirley loved her family and sacrificed so much along her journey in life. She is now with our son whom she missed so very much. I believe they both are in heaven rejoicing together today. My prayers are with the entire family during this sorrowful time.

My first thought, when I learned of Shirley’s death, was that she was now with Frankie. I believe that when we leave this earth for our forever home, our loved ones are on the other side of that veil, welcoming us to heaven. I can only imagine that reunion. Thinking of everyone that loves Shirley. That’s a large group of people. She was the matriarch of a wonderful family and leaves quite a legacy: 3 children; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; a brother and sister; lots of others who loved her. Rest in peace. Prayers continue…

Memaw had the kindest soul. I had a connection with her and an understanding I cannot explain. Her love for animals, a mild obsession with trinkets, and stubborn independence is something we shared too. I will always be her “little bit”. I know she is happily flying high with her fresh new wings, but I will forever miss her and forever love my memaw deeply.

MaMa Shirley was a sweet, loving and kind hearted mom in law. From the first time her son Manuel introduced me, she welcomed me with loving arms and a big hug. I never felt anything from MaMa but love! She treated me just like another daughter! Our children Nadia and Mason always loved visiting with her and playing with her cat Buster! Whenever you would call and talk with her, the last words were ALWAYS, I Love You Baby! She wanted her children and family to know that she loved them and that she never took any moment in life for granted. I’m so thankful to have spent the last 21 years with her. We truly have a special angel in heaven now and we know she’s watching over us! To God be the Glory! Rest well MaMa!
