Chester Stanley “Stan” Robertson, also affectionately known as “Stan the Man” by those closes to him, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the age of 80. Stan was born in Cornelia, Georgia and was a longtime resident of Baldwin County, Alabama.
Stan proudly served for 4 years in the United States Navy. He worked as an Oil Rig Engineer, was head of Mobile Infirmary Echo Department, and had a ministry for 10 years for prisoners on death row. In his spare time, he enjoyed racing cars, travelling, hunting and being outdoors. He was also known as “Mr. Fix It” and could fix just about anything.
Stan is preceded in death by his parents, Robbie Peyton and Chester Jessie Robertson; and his siblings, Michael Lloyd Peyton, Charlie Moore, Betty Jo Kimble and Roxanne. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Kay Robertson; one daughter, Tonia Robertson; his grandchildren, Richard Cobb (Telea), Brianna Powell and William Christian; two great-grandchildren, Dakota Perdue and Kai Perdue; and his grand-dogs, Daisy, Emma, Luna, Fitz and Ella.
A Celebration of Stan’s life will be held at 6:30pm on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road, Daphne, AL. There will be a time of visitation before the service beginning at 5PM,
