Timothy Opel Morris, Jr., a native of Bessemer, AL and a resident of Westminster Village in Spanish Fort, AL, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at the age of 86.
Tim graduated from Montevallo University with a degree in Business and he proudly served in active duty in the United States Army. He worked for Jim Walter Resources at McDuffie Island in Mobile, Alabama, and was also a small business owner, detailing cars. He was an active member of South River Park Church, where he sang in the choir and served in various leadership positions.
In his spare time, he enjoyed home improvement projects, working in his yard and was always eager to lend a hand to neighbors and friends. But most of all he loved his family dearly and enjoyed time spent together.
Tim is preceded in death by his wife, Joann Shackelford Morris; his granddaughter, Abigail Emma Morris; his parents, Timothy O. Morris, Sr. and Mary Louise Morris; two sisters, Carolyn Catherine Morris Worthy and Evelyn Louise Morris Hallman; and one brother, Michael Wayne Morris.
He is survived by his children, Kelly (Michael) Walker and Timothy Opel (Suzanne) Morris, III; two grandchildren, Wesley (Leslie) Walker and Sophie (Mack) Graham; two great-grandchildren, Adeline Bacon-Walker and Asher Lee Graham; one brother, Samuel Vaughn (Margaret) Morris; his niece, Linda (Ken) Harper; nephew, BillyJack (Valerie) Logan; and special friends, Curt and Beverly Krueger, Curt Creighton and Don and Joann Mosley.
A burial service will be held at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 34904 Hwy. 225 in Spanish Fort, AL, on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 9AM. Following the burial a celebration of life service will be held at South River Park Church. 10993 Co. Road 32 in Fairhope, AL, at 10:30AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to South River Park Church.

Got chill bumps and tears when I read of the passing of Tim! A wonderful person dedicated in being the nicest man alive! He brought smiles and joy each time we saw each other. Blessings on each family member as you mourn and celebrate his life.
Tim was a wonderful man. Always had a kind word and a smile. We shared granddaughters, and he showed his extreme love for them, as well as his entire family. He will be missed.
