Timothy Patrick Sullivan, affectionately known as “Tim the toolman,” passed away on November 11, 2025, in Fairhope, Alabama, at the age of 66.
Born on May 26, 1959, in San Francisco, California, Tim was the son of the late Dolores Ann Granzella Toombs and Virgil Eugene Sullivan. From a young age, he demonstrated a strong work ethic and a natural talent for fixing things—skills that would define his lifelong career in maintenance. Known for his reliability and dedication, Tim earned numerous awards throughout his professional life, a testament to both his technical expertise and unwavering commitment to excellence.
Tim’s ability to lend a helping hand extended far beyond his workplace. Whether it was a neighbor in need or a friend facing a challenge, he could always be counted on to help others. His nickname, “Tim the Toolman,” reflected not only his mechanical skills but also the warmth and generosity he brought to every task.
Tim is survived by his devoted wife, Peggy Sullivan, who he loved and cherished more than anything; his daughter, Jessica Vierra (William Brown); and stepchildren, Chandra Paul, Daniel “Preston” Paul, and Callie Robertson Harper. Tim was also a proud grandfather to Kalyn Paul, Kendyl Paul, Kelsey Paul, Aiden Harper, Aiden Brown, and Ariana Brown. He also had a close bond with his cousin, Judy Michaelsen. He leaves behind one sister, Janice Sullivan.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Dolores Ann Granzella Toombs and Virgil Eugene Sullivan.
A man of quiet strength and reliability, Tim touched many lives through both his work and personal relationships. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2025, from 2:00PM-5:00PM at the Elks Lodge, located at 561 S. Mobile Street, Fairhope AL 36532. A brief service will begin at 2:30PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society or the Elks Lodge in Fairhope.

Lifting you all up in prayer during this time. I worked with Tim at Audubon Park for almost 4 years. During that time our crew was like family. Tim was the head of maintenance, he knew every inch of that property and could literally fix anything. Tim would do anything for anyone and had the best sense of humor. After I left Audubon, Tim called me up on a Gameday. He and Peggy were in Auburn and he knew I was there. They came over to our tailgate and we had the best time! I hadn’t seen him a while but it was like no time had passed. I have such fond memories of that day and of our time working together. We touched base here and there over the years. He told me how proud of me he was when I got my nursing degree. He was so happy for me when I got married and had my son. He was one a kind and he will be so missed. Praise God he can rest now.
