Tomie Wayne Peavy, age 62, a native of Taylor, Arkansas and a resident of the Fairhope area for 8 years, died Sunday, December 2, 2007 at a local healthcare facility after a brief illness.

Mr. Peavy retired as a Sergeant First Class after 20 years of service with the US Army.

Survivors include his wife, Diane Peavy of Fairhope; a daughter, Janell Sue Peavy of Louisville, KY and a son, John Charles Peavy of Bedford, KY; a sister, Deborah Wynne of Springhill, AR and a granddaughter and other relatives and friends.

Graveside services and burial with full military honors will be held at 1:15 PM Friday, December 7, 2007 at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, FL.
