April 2, 1940 – June 2, 2007 In Loving Memory.
Tommy Gene Conlee- Age 67, a longtime resident of Mobile and Fairhope,died Saturday, June 2, 2007 at his home after a long, valiant battle with cancer.
Mr. Conlee graduated from Marian Military Institute in 1960 and with a degree in Chemistry from the University of Alabama in 1964. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Daphne, AL and retired from
Ciba Specialty Chemicals after 35 years. He was an avid sailor and a
member of the Fairhope Yacht Club and the US Power Squadron. Tom was
preceded in death by his father, Hubert Thomas Conlee and his daughter, Virginia Beckam Conlee. He is survived by his wife, Sally Conlee of Fairhope; mother, Jimmie Conlee of Fairhope; 4 children, Marian Reynolds
(Robert) of Daphne, Wayne Vannoy of Mobile, Matthew Vannoy (Pamela) of
Seadrift, TX and Jason Vannoy (Katie) of Daphne. Tom has 9
grandchildren, Robbie, Caleb and Ginger Reynolds of Daphne; Leah, Hannah and Sarah Vannoy of Clanton, AL; Matthew and Kelsey Vannoy of Seadrift, TX and Emma Grace Vannoy of Daphne.
A Memorial Mass will be held at
Christ the King Catholic Church in Daphne at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 8, 2007. The Rosary will be at 9:45 AM and the visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mercy Medical Catherine Place or the American Cancer Society. The family especially wants to thank the close friends and Mercy Hospice who cared so deeply
for Tom in the past few months.
