Tommy Wayne Daw

January 15, 1949 - July 23, 2019


Tommy Wayne Daw, 70, a native of Evergreen, AL and a resident of Daphne, AL, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2019.

Tommy adored his grandchildren and loved his dogs.  He was an active member of City Hope Church, where he was very involved with serving and his small group for the past 11 years. He was also a part of the “The Men’s Group” for the past 11 years, where he loved being around his brothers in Christ.   He also loved to volunteer with the Prodisee Pantry.  Tommy was so much fun to be around, as he was always making jokes and loved making people laugh.  He enjoyed hanging out with his friends and playing cards in his spare time.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Erbie Daw, Sr. and Wilma Brown Daw; and siblings, Brenda Swafford and Betty Jo Jackson.

Tommy is survived by his children, Tommy (Melanie) Daw of Daphne, Samantha (John) Yeager of Elberta; grandchildren, Tristan, Taylor and London Daw and Ty and Jack Yeager; siblings, Erbie Daw, Jr. and Tammy Lee Edwards; along with other family members and lots of friends.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation to celebrate the life of Tommy on Friday, July 26, 2019 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at City Hope Church, 29964 St, Basil Street, Daphne, AL.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Tommy’s memory to Prodisee Pantry, 9315 Spanish Fort Blvd, Spanish Fort, AL 36527.

    Prayers for the family and friends of Tom Daw. Tom and I worked for Food World in Mobile and he later hired me to work with him in Atlanta with Daymon Associates. I will be forever thankful. I looked for Tom on Facebook a while back with no success but wanted to thank him for helping me as a young man. Great guy and a heart of gold! Rest in Peace brother!
