Tanya Cooley Halford, born in Little Rock, AK, and a resident of Foley, AL, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at the age of 60.
Tanya worked for over 10 years for the US Postal Service and for former Gov. Jim Folsom, Jr. She enjoyed being a server throwing rolls for Lambert’s Café in Foley. She loved going to the beach and was an avid Auburn football fan who was always rooting for anyone playing against Alabama! How ‘bout a War Eagle?! One of her greatest joys was cooking favorite meals for her family and enjoying being “Lolli” to her grandchildren, with whom she enjoyed spending time with. She was always willing to help and serve any one in need. God truly used her to minister to others.
Preceding her in death are her parents, John Robert “Jack” Cooley and Mary Ellen Johnson Cooley and her brother, Raif Cooley.
Leaving to cherish her memory are her daughters, Morgan Halford and Hannah Halford both of Daphne, AL and Kayla Boutwell of Panama City Beach, FL; and the father of her children, Paul Halford, of Silverhill, AL, who she was married to for over 23 years. Also surviving are her beloved grandchildren, Kyla and Luna Kight, of Trussville, AL; and many, many other relatives and friends who loved her dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00PM, Wednesday, December7, 2022 at Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road in Daphne, AL. The family will receive friends beginning at 3:00PM for a time of visitation. Officiating will be Rev. Scotty Jernigan.
