Virginia Lou Paul, 66, of Foley, Alabama, passed peacefully on July 5, 2025, to be with her Savior.

Born on April 29, 1959, in Owensboro, Kentucky, Virginia, she was the beloved daughter of James William Shouse and Linda Lou Muncy. She graduated from Daviess County High School and went on to live a life filled with kindness, laughter, and quiet strength.

Virginia married the love of her life, Daniel Martin Paul, with whom she shared over 25 wonderful years of love, laughter, and companionship. Together, they built a home grounded in warmth and devotion.

She worked in numerous positions at Walmart, including cashier, CSM, and department manager, where her warm smile and genuine care left a lasting impression on both coworkers and customers alike. After retiring in 2022, Virginia enjoyed the peaceful rhythms of daily life, especially sitting on her back porch with her loyal mastiff, Xena, taking in the beauty of nature. She loved listening to her music, especially country gospel.  Her music brought her deep joy and comfort.

Virginia’s love for people was one of her defining qualities—her generous spirit and radiant smile were contagious. She was the kind of person who made others feel seen, heard, and loved.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Daniel (Danny) Paul; her mother, Linda Lou Muncy; her sisters, Eva Mae Alvey and Mary Ilene Muncy; and her brother, Dean William Shouse. She was preceded in death by her father, James William Shouse; her brother, James (Jimmy) Glenn Shouse; and her sister, Debbie Lynn Snow.

A Celebration of Life will be held by her family and friends at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, an organization meaningful to Virginia’s heart, at https://www.stjude.org/give

Virginia will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit lives on in the love she shared and the lives she touched.
