Wallis Perry Griffis, Jr., born in Yazoo City, Mississippi and a resident of Daphne, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the age of 85.
Wallis was retired and was a lifelong Ole Miss football fan.
He is preceded in death by his father, Wallis Perry Griffis; his mother, Doris Lee Williams; and brother-in-law, Marion Blackwood.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Griffis; his daughter, Rebekah Kersten and her husband Richard of Daphne, AL; one granddaughter, Isabella Kersten; sister, Carol Griffis Blackwood; nephews, David Blackwood and Lance Blackwood; other nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road, Daphne, AL, is assisting the family.
