Mr. Duck was my High School Principal at Baldwin County High School in Bay Minette for the 4 years I was there. (1986-1990). He was a good principal. He seemed to be humbled. I really liked him. He was a fair principal. He didnt show any partially. Sorry to hear about his passing. Prayers for comfort and healing and peace and strength during this time for his family.
I enjoyed the time we worked together. I got to know him as a colleague and a friend. Rest In Peace my friend,
Mike was my favorite principal of all. He supported his teachers, he disciplined the students , our school was the cleanest and least vandalized in the county. Teachers were encouraged to try new ideas and projects. I’m sorry to hear of his passing.
You will be missed but never forgotten. When I hear our dance song (Mustang Sally) I will smile and think of you! May you Rest In Peace.
Judy Reeves expresses my feelings as well. He was dearly loved by his teachers and was always open to hearing our concerns. He also made school a fun place to be. He mattered. He was open to new ideas. School was happy. He provided an environment for my favorite teaching years. High levels of education ran through his school. I was fortunate to have Mr. Duck as my principal.
Thank you all for all the responses..
He was a great man and an greater Dad and grandfather.. I truly appreciate all the kind responses.
Love
Whitney

“You are a very great man to me as a person, and that would listen to me.”
Your Friend, Eric Weeks
I loved working with Mr. Duck! He truly cared about his teachers, his students, and his friends. He will be missed!
Our thoughts and prayers are with at this time. It was a pleasure to know Mike Duck when he lived in Tifton.
I am so sorry to hear about Mike’s passing. I would like to give my heartfelt condolences during this challenging time. My prayer for you and the family is that God’s peace and love comforts each of you through the pain you’re feeling right now. The world is less one fun loving individual. He will definitely be missed.
Mr. Duck was my principal as a student AND as a teacher at BCHS. He was fabulous in both roles….always a professional but also always so much fun! The pranks we used to pull on each other would probably get us fired today but it’s memories I’ll never forget. Mike Duck and Ronnie Reiben were the heart and soul of BCHS. So many of my students had their own crazy stories to tell of these top notch guys and that’s what made their leadership so special. Forming bonds with kids, teachers and support staff that will live in our memories forever. We love you.
Mike Duck was a wonderful person to work with and for. He loved his teachers as well as the students. I worked for him as Secretary/bookkeeper during his tenure at Baldwin County High School. He was a great principal. He kept the cleanest school in Baldwin County, no doubt. He was a fun-loving person as previously stated by Jim Owen as well as the teachers who have posted remembrances. Rest in peace. You will be missed by all who loved and supported you.
