May she now rest in peace in the arms of our Lord. Wanda Dale Wheat, 62, was a resident of Theodore for 14 years. She loved to read and watch sci-fi movies, but more importantly she was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her only daughter, Cam “Candi” (Shane) Kent; three beautiful grandkids, Kelsey Seabury (19), Allie Kent (17) and Skyler Kent (12); two sisters, Vicky (Danny) Carney and Barbara (Tommy) Sheffield; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends who loved and adored her.

Fly high our sweet angel and watch over us in our times of pain and sorrows.  Mama, mee-maw, and friend, you will be truly missed by us all. So please wrap your beautiful Angel wings around all of us and help to guide us through the toughest of times and continue to laugh with us through the best of memories.

Expressions of condolence may be offered at www.hughesfh.com. Arrangements are by Hughes Funeral Home and Crematory, 7951 American Way, Daphne, AL 36526.

I’m so very sorry for your loss and my heart goes out to you. Wanda and I went to school together and after graduation we and other friends stayed in touch and did many things together, then one day things that came into our life took us separate ways and we lost touch. Wanda was a sweet and funny person, never met a stranger. Another piece of my past has left me. Candi, you are in my thoughts and prayers, I send love and understanding to you. May you some how some way find a bit of piece to help you through. God Bless and may he wrap his arms around you.

My heart is broken for the loss of this sweet lady. She was sweet funny and a great friend. It’s sad that we let life lead us in different directions and lose touch with each other. I thought of her often. Candi I know she loved you to the moon and back and I know she is watching over you and your family with her sweet angel wings wrapped around you all. I am here for you Candi if you need anything. Love you and prayers that you will find peace in your heart.

This is so unrealistic. I shouldn’t be doing this. I miss you so much MeeMaw. I know you’re on a better place, and everything else everyone keeps telling me. But I can’t help but to be selfish and want you back. You’d be so proud of me come May. But I know you’ll be cheering for me just as loud in heaven when I walk across that stage. So lucky to have you as a guardian angel. I bet it’s no nice up there since you arrived. I hope the Angels know what they have. Love and miss you MeeMaw. Rest in Paradise.

Candi, you and your family have been in my prayers since I saw your post of Wanda passing. So sorry for your loss. Before you were ever born we all spent time together and have gone on trips together. I always liked your Mom. I know you will have lots of wonderful memories of your time together and those are things no one can ever take away from you. May God surround you and yours with His loving arms and keep you safe. With Lots of Love take care.

I really do not know what to say. your mom has been part of our family all my memory. My early memories of times at Grandmother’s always included Wanda. Even though she and your dad had taken different paths, she was still always family. I know your heart is broken, but remember, she will always be in your heart. I still miss my daddy and it feels like only yesterday that we all said goodbye to him, so I wont say that the pain of missing her will ever go away, but one day the pain will not be so sharp (like a few years from now). Remember the good times and remember to laugh. Always laugh, it helps as it makes me remember that they are still with us…they will all always be in our hearts and our memories! Love you cousin…Teresa
