William Lawrence Mangon, Jr., a native of New York and a resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at the age of 80.

William joined the Navy after high school.  He became a police officer and worked in Chicago.  He later moved to Fairhope and worked with the Fairhope Police Department and also worked for DEA.

William is preceded in death by his father, William L. Mangon, Sr., mother, Catherine Creighton Mangon, and his wife, Maureen Fielder Mangon.

He is survived by his stepson, Kelley F. Thompson (Connie) of Fairhope, AL; grandson, Daniel Thompson (Jennifer) of Cantonment, FL; great-grandson, Elliott Ford Thompson of Cantonment, FL; sisters, Maureen Peterson of New York and Kathleen Dennerlein of Rhode Island; along with multiple nieces and nephews.
