William Marvin Mills, 96, of Daphne, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 6, 2013. Mr. Mills was born in Deer Park, Alabama and was a charter member of Eastern Shore Baptist Church.

He retired as a superintendent in commercial construction working with Best Mechanical Co. over 40 years and loved hunting and fishing. He received his 70 year member pin from the Local 119 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union.

Mr. Mills is preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Chrissy Potter.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Jean Mills; his son, Billy (Betty) Mills; two granddaughters, Denvia (Danny) Potter and Amber Mills; a grandson, William M. ‘Bubba’ Mills, III and a great-granddaughter, Carrie Potter.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am Thursday, August 8, 2013 from Eastern Shore Baptist Church with Rev. Grant Barber and Rev. Stuart Davidson officiating. Visitation will begin at 9 am. Interment will follow in Daphne Baptist Cemetery.
