Herbert “Wayne” Wright, a native of Lakeland, Florida and a resident of Collinsville, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at the age of 64. He was born in Plant City, Florida on April 11, 1961.

Wayne was a gentle soul, who enjoyed fishing, his mama’s food, chocolate, liquor, fedoras, westerns, comedy and women.

Wayne is preceded in death by his father, George Cornelius Wright; his mother, Margaret “Louise” Wright; sister, Phyllis “Darlene” Holtsberry; and his grandson, Justin Lane Crowder.

He is survived by his children, Misty Dawn Kuneman of Rushville, IN and Dustin Wayne Wright of Foley, AL; and one grandson, Westyn Guy Herrell.

No services are planned at this time.
